Legal
End User License Agreement
Last updated: August 17, 2026
This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and PassVerity ("we", "us") for the PassVerity mobile application ("the app"). By downloading, installing or using the app you agree to be bound by this EULA. The Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions form part of this agreement.
1. License grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. The license is granted by us and, for store purchases, subject to the applicable store's standard usage rules.
2. Ownership
The app, including its code, design, graphics, trademarks and all intellectual property, is and remains our property or that of our licensors. This EULA grants you a license to use the app; it does not transfer ownership.
3. Restrictions
You may not, except where the law expressly permits:
- copy, modify, translate, adapt or create derivative works of the app;
- decompile, reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source code of the app;
- distribute, sublicense, rent, lease or sell the app or provide it as a hosted service;
- remove or alter any proprietary notices;
- circumvent, disable or interfere with any security feature of the app, including screen-capture protection.
4. Privacy and data
The app processes passport and biometric data entirely on your device and does not upload, store or share it. You acknowledge that no data transmission method is infallible, and that you remain responsible for your device and for the documents you choose to scan.
5. No government endorsement
The app is not produced, endorsed or verified by any government, border agency or passport authority. It relies on open-source, on-device models and is not a government-level or certified verification system. Results are for personal reference only.
6. Updates
We may from time to time provide updates to improve, fix or add features. Updates are governed by this EULA unless accompanied by a separate agreement, in which case the separate agreement applies.
7. Third-party components
The app uses open-source libraries and services, including on-device machine-learning models and the ad and purchase providers. Their licenses and terms apply to those components and may be identified within the app or its documentation.
8. Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you violate any provision. On termination you must stop using the app and, where applicable, delete it from your devices. The provisions of Sections 4, 7, 9 and 10 survive termination.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to this EULA or the app shall not exceed the amount you paid, if any, for the app. Nothing in this EULA limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. General
If any provision of this EULA is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. This EULA constitutes the entire agreement between you and us regarding the app. We may update this EULA; the current version is always available on this page.
